      • Several paints were labelled to be ages 3+ and 4+ in the infant/toddler room. Please ensure all paints are age-appropriate for the various rooms.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • A crack in the ceiling was observed in the center of the room in the upstairs preschool room. Ensure the indicated crack is sealed and/or painted.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Several diapering lotions in the basement diapering area were observed to be touching. Please ensure adequate separate storage of the personal lotions to help prevent potential cross-contamination.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Door at basement was not able to be closed easily (entrance to stairs). please ensure that the door is not easily accessible to children or install gate or other means to protect children from entering stairs without supervision.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • The following items were noted in the Toddler room:1. Toys were being stored in a cardboard box that is not easily cleanable. Please ensure toy containers are able to be cleaned and disinfected.2 Hello kitty stuffed animals was soiled. Please ensure soft items are laundered weekly or when soiled.

      • Headroom clearance in the storage area used for storage of children clothes was too low (less than 5 feet 4 inches). Discussed.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The chlorine concentration was 0 ppm in the spray bottle provided in the Main Floor Preschool room (new space). It was addressed during the inspection. Please ensure that the chlorine concentration of the chlorine bleach solution is at least 100 ppm.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • There was a crack in the ceiling in the Basement Toddler room. Please repair. Note: the drywalled ceiling was installed during recent renovations prior to facility opening.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • The sleeping mats and cots were not labelled in the Infant room. It was addressed during the inspection.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • The washroom fan was not operational in the Basement Washroom.
    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • The hand sanitizer observed was expired, and no original bottle was available for refillable small bottles.
