      • Several unlabeled spray bottles were noted throughout the daycare. All spray bottles were labeled during the inspection.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Handwashing sink next to diapering station in the infant room is not adequately draining.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • A wet/used cleaning cloth was stored on top of a bleach water spray bottle, indicating that it is being reused. Ensure cleaning cloths are only used once.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Toy cleaning for infant and toddler room was being conducted in the staff bathroom sink. Toy cleaning cannot occur in the bathroom. Owner indicated toy cleaning for these rooms will be conducted in the kitchen.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Owner indicated that they will use the stainless steel sink in the staff bathroom to clean children in the event of an accident. The sink measured at a maximum temperature of 69.9C and therefore cannot be accessible to children or used for handwashing/bathing purposes for children.After discussion, owner indicated that the infant/toddler bathroom handwashing sinks will be used for cleaning children after accidents - a bucket will be filled with warm water and single use cloths will be used. The handwashing sinks in the infant/toddler bathroom measured at or below 46C (satisfactory temperatures).

      • Main floor (preschool room bathroom): the diaper change pad available was ripped and not able to be easily cleaned. *Please replace the diaper change pad to be in good repair, easy to disinfect and stored where children cannot easily access.

      • Basement Kinder/OSC Bathroom: Chemicals including bulk bleach solution and toilet bowl cleaner were stored in the cupboard under the sink, accessible to children.Please ensure that all chemicals are not accessible to children by either installing a child lock or storing chemicals in a location that children cannot reach or access.*Expired wipes were noted throughout the program but were not in use. Please review all chemicals on site and discard any expired chemicals.
