    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • -Written procedures were not available for this facility. Please ensure written procedures are developed for: Preparation of Skin and Client Care.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • A storage jar for some tools (tweezers, scissors) in the waxing room was visibly dirty with grime and a few hairs.Upon request, the jar and the tools were brought to the reprocessing area to be cleaned and reprocessed.Please ensure tools are stored in a way that keeps them clean.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Some semi-critical equipment such as nail trimmers were not fully submerged in the CS20 during the inspection. Upon request, a staff member added more CS20 so the tools were fully submerged. Staff stated the CS20 is changed daily, no testing performed. Please ensure tools are fully submerged in the CS20.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Some cosmetics bottles at the workers stations were not labelled or the label had worn off. Please ensure all cosmetic products are labelled.

      • - Lash primer was not labelled with manufacturer’s instructions and ingredients. It was disposed of at the time of inspection. Please ensure only cosmetic products with a detailed label are available for use.
