    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • A few mice dropping were observed in between the 2 upright cooler in the back. - Clean and sanitize the area. Contact your pest control company to investigate further.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • A few walls were damaged in the front of the store. - Please fix. All surfaces in the facility must be in good state of repair.

    • 06. Are appropriate food handling practices and plans in place to ensure that food is handled in a manner that makes it safe to eat?
      • No temperature records were being maintained.-Ensure that the temperature records are being maintained.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Containers of food were being stored on the floor.-Ensure that the food is stored at least 6 inches (15 cm) above the floor.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • 1)The ambient temperature of the cooler near the fire exit was observed at 14 C at first and checking on it again during inspection it was noted to have increased to 18C.*Egg mix internal temperature was at 10 C*Butter was at 9 C.-Both the butter and egg mix were placed in different working cooler.* Food items like cookie dough, sour bread dough was discarded as it was at high temperatures in the cooler for more than 2 hours.-Ensure that the perishable foods are stored at 4C or lower.-DO NOT STORE PERISHABLE FOODS IN THE COOLER UNTIL THE COOLER IS FIXED.

      • -No pest control reports were available at the time of the inspection.-Ensure that the pest control records are maintained.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • chest freezer door is in disrepair and has exposed absorbent material.Inspection Oct 15 2024,1)The lids of flour containers were covered in flour.2) The cooler was not working properly.- Please replace or fix. All surfaces must be smooth, impervious to moisture and easily cleanable.-Clean the flour container lids.-Fix the cooler.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • "OUTSTANDING VIOLATION"buildup of food debris in all of the hard-to-reach areas of the facility including but not limited to under dishwashing sinks, under milk crates, around the dough mixers and equipment. Inspection October 15 2024,1)The equipment and floor in the mills room was covered in the flour.2) The floor under the big honey container had honey spills under it.- Clean and maintain in clean and sanitary manner at all times. Develop a cleaning schedule and ensure all areas of the facility are routinely cleaned and sanitized.
