    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • The chemical dishwasher was not functioning properly. Chlorine was not being dispensed, and no chlorine was detected on the sanitizer test strips.Until the dishwasher is repaired, please use the dishwasher or one-compartment sink for washing and rinsing, and a large container with bleach sanitizer for soaking toys. Ensure the toys are properly dried.Until the dishwasher is repaired, ensure that all toys are first washed (detergent + water), rinsed, and then soaked in a bleach solution (bleach + water) for 2 minutes. For a 5% bleach solution, use 1/2 teaspoon per liter of water or 1 tablespoon per gallon of water — the chlorine concentration must be tested at 100 ppm using chlorine test strips.Repair the chemical dishwasher to ensure proper sanitization of toys and a chlorine concentration at 100 ppm after each rinse cycle.

      • The under sink cabinet with chemicals was not locked in the boys washroom. Photo was received showing a safety lock on the cabinet.Please all chemicals are securely stored and remain inaccessible to children at all times.

      • Bleach and a carpet cleaning chemical were accessible to children on the kitchen counter that opens into the play area. The operator moved them to an inaccessible location.Ensure all chemicals are securely stored and remain inaccessible to children at all times.

      • -The wall edges in the boys washroom were unfinished. Refinish the wall edges to ensure surfaces are smooth, easily cleanable, and in good repair.-Exposed wood was observed on the outer edges of the undersink cabinet in the boys washroom. All surfaces must be properly finished to be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. Refinish or seal exposed areas.
