- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- Mouse droppings were found on the floor behind refrigeration units and inside the cabinet beneath the handwashing sink. - Use a disinfectant solution to clean up all mice droppings in the food premise. Remove equipment from the wall before cleaning.- Set out additional traps in the kitchen.- Store dried food in pest proof containers with tightfitting covers.- Conduct a thorough assessment of all walls in the building and seal up any identified openings. Holes on wall around plumbing underneath sinks should be sealed.- Ensure all exterior doors to the school are properly fitted with intact weather stripping to prevent pest entry.
