    • 05. Do food handlers refrain from handling food while ill and have acceptable attire and hygiene?
      • Improper glove use was observed in the main kitchen. The dishwasher went from handling dirty dishes to clean dishes without removing gloves and washing hands. -The dishwasher was asked to remove gloves and wash hands at the time of the visit. Please review proper glove use and handwashing procedures with all food services staff.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • There was some food debris build up on the refrigerator handles, on the toaster, and in some cupboards in the Birchwood dining area.-Please thoroughly clean the above noted areas.

      • The finish was wearing off a few of the cupboards in the Boxwood and Birchwood serving kitchens.-Please refinish the cupboards so that all surfaces are smooth, durable, impervious to moisture and easy to clean.

      • The sensor sink in the receiving room was not working.-Please repair the sink so it is operational.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The finish was wearing off a few of the cupboards in the Boxwood and Birchwood serving kitchens.-Please refinish the cupboards so that all surfaces are smooth, durable, impervious to moisture and easy to clean.

      • 1. There was some food debris build up in corners, and in the cupboards and drawers in the Aspen, Ashwood, and Birchwood serving kitchens.-Please thoroughly clean the serving kitchens.2. Some chairs in the dining rooms had some food debris build up. This was noted particularly in the Ashwood and Birchwood dining rooms.-Please thoroughly clean the dining room chairs on a frequent basis.3. There was some mildew on the silicone around the dishwasher in the main kitchen.-Please replace silicone.

      • Some dry food debris were present on a standup mixer. - Thoroughly clean after each use. Debris accumulation in hard-to-reach areas such as under and around a mouse trap and around some equipment legs. - Clean regularly
