      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure to have the dispenser repaired. Obtain 200ppm Quats from the dispenser available in the Meat department in the mean time.

      • Observation: 1) Back produce area is cluttered. Grime and debris accumulation noted under the warewashing and produce washing sinks. THIS IS A REPEAT VIOLATION.
      • 2) Spilled rice noted along the shelves in aisle 2.
      • 3) Onion skins and other debris under the onion pallets across from the produce walk-in cooler.
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the department as per your sanitation plan. Accumulation of food debris and moisture are attractants for rodents.

      • Observation: - Grime/debris noted along edges of floor in hard to reach areas in produce area (under produce prep sink, under shelving in produce walk-in cooler, around organic waste bins and cardboard compacter)
      • - Areas appears cluttered, access to three compartment sink was impacted and at time of inspection had cardboard (for disposal) stored on it.
      • Corrective Action(s): - Clean hard to reach areas of the floor
      • - Remove any excess items from area to ensure easy access to three compartment sink and to ensure area is maintained in sanitary condition and does not create conditions which can attract or harbour pests. To be corrected by: 27-Nov-2023

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No paper towel was available at the hand sink in the back produce preparation area (ie. paper towel dispenser was empty).
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator immediately replaced paper towel in dispenser at time of inspection. Ensure hand wash stations are fully equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water at all times.

      • Observation: Noted pooling of water on the ground in the produce walk in cooler.
      • Corrective Action(s): Have pooling water cleaned up as needed to avoid any collecting of stagnant water. Resurface floor as needed to avoid pooling of water if routinely cleaning to keep the area dry and prevent pooling of stagnant water cannot be done.

      • Observation: Noted some dropped paper product under the dry storage shelving units in the back storage area as well as some build up of dust/dirt around the perimeter of the walls under the dry storage shelves.
      • Corrective Action(s): Pick up all dropped paper product and do a thorough cleaning under the dry storage shelves. Focus on the perimeter of the walls and the hard to reach areas. Keep all items stored 6 inches off the ground to facilitate cleaning and pest monitoring.

      • 311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
      • Observation: Noted some pooling of water on the ground in the produce walk in cooler where the finish of the flooring has come off. This issue was noted on the last routine inspection.
      • Corrective Action(s): Repair/replace the finish of the flooring of the produce walk in cooler. There should be no pooling/stagnant water in the food premises.
