    3 infractions

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Yes (corrected during inspection) - the ice machine unit was not being properly covered, as the lid was in disrepair and removed from the unit. Also, there was a cracked plastic cover/lid used for dry food storage (sugar) in the rear storage room. The operator and staff were advised to ensure the ice machine is kept covered at all times (to prevent any possible contamination into the open ice) and that covers/lids for dry food storage containers are kept in good repair, with any openings or cracks repair or the cover/lid replaced. The listed violations were corrected at time of inspection.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Yes (corrected during inspection) - the food prep hand-wash sink was obstructed with utensils/items and with minimal hot water at less than 45 degrees Celsius. As the hot water tank setting was raised at time of inspection and utensils/items removed from the sink, this violation was corrected during inspection.
    • 14. Does the facility have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • Yes (corrected during inspection) - there was insufficient hot water of less than 30 degrees Celsius at the 2-compartment sinks and hand-wash sink. This was corrected at time of inspection, as an employee raised the temperature setting of the hot water tank, with the hot water temperature rising to minimum of 45 degrees Celsius at the sinks in the food prep area.
