      • OSC Room:Toilet paper cardboard tubes were being used for craft activities.Discontinue the use of toilet paper cardboard tubes as there is a high chance of contamination.

      • OSC RoomHand washing sinks in the boys' and girls' washrooms did not have soap and hand paper towel.The handwashing supplies were replenished during inspection.

      • OSC room:Some light fixtures have burned out light bulbs.Replace burned out light bulbs.

      • OSC RoomThe weather stripping on the back exit door leading to the outdoor playground is in poor condition, allowing visible light to pass through a gap. Repair or replace the weather stripping to prevent pest entry into the facility. When properly installed, no light from outside should be visible inside the daycare

      • OSC Room:The ventilation fan in the boys' washroom is not in proper working order.Repair or fix the washroom fan.

      • The thermometer in the larger, silver mini fridge in the toddler room is broken. It was observed displaying a reading of 20C, while the actual temperature of the fridge was 4C. Please replace this thermometer.

      • Orange and green footstool/bench in the OSC room is in disrepair. Operator states a cleanable cover has been purchased for it and will be installed soon.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The green bleach disinfectant bottle in the toddler room was measured at 0 ppm chlorine and appeared to be filled with soapy water. Upon request, this bottle was removed and replaced.Please ensure disinfectant bottles are always maintained at 100 ppm chlorine.

      • Washroom fan - previous fan had been removed. Program indicated a new fan with cover will be installed. Oct 24, 2024: The washroom fan still requires a cover.
