    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Recipe for playdough made on site was reviewed. Use of raw flour was noted to make house-made playdough. If flour is used, the operator must obtain industrially heat-treated flour. Remove all playdough made from raw flour, and either obtain heat-treated flour, or purchase commercially made playdough that is non-toxic.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Test strips are not available in Room 1, 2, and 3 to test chlorine sanitizer concentrations. Purchase chlorine test strips that can measure at least 100-200 ppm chlorine. Keep chlorine sanitizer at 100 ppm.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The door stopper on the bathroom door from Room 3 is broken. The diapering station in Room 3 currently does not have a hand-washing sink that is easily accessible without touching the door handle. Repair door stopper and ensure that all diapering stations have easily accessible hand-washing sinks.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • No First-Aid kits were observed in Room 1, 2, and 3. Ensure that each room their own First-Aid kit.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Wicker baskets were observed to be used to store toys. This material is not considered easy to clean and disinfect and could cross-contaminate cleaned toys. Use a liner material inside baskets that can be cleaned or disposed after use to protect stored toys and baskets from contamination.

    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • No signage posted to advise visitors of the outbreak declared. Operator posted a signage in the front entrance area during the inspection.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Tall green storage unit in half-day room has paint chipping on drawer surfaces (lighter green surface). Repair/repaint surface.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Soft block toys in infant room were noted to have surfaces that are porous and not easily cleanable. Operator discarded the block toys during the inspection. Ensure that all toys used have non-porous surfaces that can be easily cleaned and sanitized.

      • *There was a chemical bottle left in the lower cabinet in the half day room when there was no lock at the cabinet.Corrected during the inspection by the operator. Please make sure hazardous items are not stored where accessible to kids, and lower cabinets have locks on them to prevent any injuries and incidents.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • *Infant room - table had sharp broken corner, please make sure it is replaced or repaired. *Washroom between infant and toddler room - *White storage shelf surfaces started to be worn out, paint chippingPlease make sure resurfaced. *Half Day room - Tall green shelf started get paint chipping. Please repair/repaint.

      • Couple of the bleach water solution bottles in concentrations were lower than 100ppm.Corrected during the inspection. Please make sure beach water solution concentrations are not less than 100ppm.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Infant room:Hand washing basin was used for hand washing as well as toy washing.Please make sure in the infant room hand washing is used as dedicated hand washing for the diaper changing area. Toy washing can be done in the dishwasher or 2 comp sink in the kitchen.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Infant Room:One of the floor play mat covers was dirty. Please make sure it is washed and cleaned.
