    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1) Diapering change station was on the floor in the washroom.-if you have a temporary diapering station on the floor, ensure you have it set-up like all other change stations (i.e. paper line, disinfectant, wipes, etc). This was removed during inspection.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • 1) The colorful, painted, wooden shapes used for building and playing are not cleaned/disinfected weekly.-ensure all play equipment/toys are cleaned and disinfected weekly.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • 1) Electrical cords by the computer/office area were accessible by the children.-remove all electrical cords and ensure they are no accessible. The area can also be blocked off if needed. This was resolved during inspection.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Observed staff in the Nido room changing two children's diapers without washing their hands or disinfecting the diaper change table surface in between. Was also handling other children in between.- Corrected during inspection - discussed requirements to complete entire diapering procedure including disinfecting diaper change pad and hand hygiene in between each child.Did not observe the children's hands being washed after their diapers were changed.- Corrected during inspection - ensure children's hands are washed after diaper changes.Diaper change pad in the Bambini room was upside down on top of a book bin.- Corrected during inspection - keep diapering equipment separate from other materials in the childcare center.

      • Nido area has been separated from the Bambini area, diaper change table for the Nido area is on the opposite side of the room from the hand washing sink.- Corrected on same day of inspection, photos provided. The diaper change table was relocated next to the washroom in the childcare room.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Water temperature in the Casa room at the two sinks reached 65C.- Max water temp must not exceed 54C at any faucets accessible to children. Recommend 43-49C.
