      • 1. The chemicals stored in the sink cabinet in the Toddler room were accessible to children - the cabinet was unlocked. PHI locked the cabinet during the inspection.2. Lysol disinfectant and laundry detergent were stored in accessible sink cabinet in the OSC room. They were removed from children's reach during the inspection. Ensure that a lock is provided on the sink cabinet or chemicals are not stored in the sink cabinet.

      • Water stains were observed on the ceiling in multiple locations. The t-bar ceiling was damaged in Preschool room - a strip was hanging. Investigate and remove the source of water infiltration. Replace affected ceiling tiles and repair damaged area of t-bar ceiling. Updated on July 18, 2023: Water stains were observed on the ceiling tiles in the Preschool washroom and Girls' OSC washroom. Investigate and remove the source of water infiltration. Replace affected ceiling tiles.

      • No soap was provided in the Girls' OSC washroom. No paper towels were available in the Boys' OSC washroom. It was addressed during the inspection. Ensure that the sinks are adequately supplied.
    • 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
      • One baby food provided by parents was expired. Discussed with the educator.
