    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Water temperature was noted to be at 11.1 degrees C at OSC rollaway program located in the gym area.Please increase the water temperature and ensure that it is maintained between 35 - 49 degrees C. In the interim, the operator was advised to use washrooms located by the daycare room.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Water temperature as noted to be at 33 degrees C at daycare washroom faucets.Please increase the water temperature and ensure it is maintained between 35 - 49 degrees C at all times.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • Accumulation of debris was noted on almost all washroom vents. Please clean all washroom vents and ensure they are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The facility has started diapering without contacting the local environmental public health office. A disinfectant was not observed in the diapering area. Please ensure that a disinfectant is present by the diapering area.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • General cleaning and organizing is required in the facility. Please clean and organize the facility and ensure it is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • It was noted that both water and sand tables were open at all times. Clients were not washing hands before and after using these tables. Please designate a time to use sand and water tables. Please ensure to change water after each use. Please ensure to cover both water and sand tables when they are not in use. Please ensure clients are performing hand washing before and after using sand and water tables.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Updated outbreak guidelines were not observed. These were provided to the operator during the inspection.

    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • Outbreaks were not being reported to AHS.Outbreak reporting process was discussed with the operator during the inspection. Please report outbreaks to AHS.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The facility provides pullups services and change area was not being disinfected. Please use bleach solution at 1000 ppm to disinfect the area.
    • 23. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Critical)?
      • Sleeping mats were not properly stored. The operator indicated that they disinfect sleeping mats once a week. Please ensure that sleeping mats are properly stored away from vacuum cleaner and mop. Please ensure to disinfect beds at regular interval.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Client personal items were in contact with each other. Client's personal items were noted to be stored on the floor. Please ensure that clients personal items are properly separated. Please do not store staff personal items on the floor. Please properly store clients personal items.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • Debris buildup noted on washroom vents. Please clean all washroom vents.
