- The cabinet under the sink in the kinder room was unlocked and contained a bottle of bleach solution. The cabinet was re-locked during the inspection. Please ensure all cabinets or storage areas containing hazards are locked.

- Two plush toys in the baby room were observed to be visibly dirty, upon request, the toys were set aside to be laundered. Please ensure staff are regularly laundering the plush toys and inspecting them for cleanliness.

- Diapering procedure was observed in baby room.-Hand washing and glove use was discussed at time of inspection as staff were noted to not change gloves. Ensure that children and staff wash hands after each diaper change for required time with soap and paper towel. Please ensure that the diapering surface is disinfected after each child.

- Baby Room: There was a thumbtack being used to hold a clipboard above the diapering station in the baby room. Ensure thumbtacks and pushpins are not stored in baby and toddler rooms.

- Toddler Room: There was a cup of thumbtacks left on the handwashing sink which were easily reachable by children using this sink. The cup was moved to a safe area, out of reach of the children during the inspection. Ensure hazards are kept in a location inaccessible to the children in the program.

- Baby Room: The foam tiles being used on the floor need to be replaced as they were showing signs of wear and were visibly dirty.Ensure all flooring in kept in clean condition and replaced or repaired as needed.

- Toddler Room: The wall near the entrance had several holes which needed to be filled. This wall previously had a diaper change station mounted on it which left several holes needing to be filled. Ensure walls are kept in good repair.

- Toddler Room: The green floor covering has begun to show signs of wear and had several stains in it. Ensure floor covering is repaired or replaced to ensure it is cleanable and able to be maintained.

- Several walls throughout the facility were marked or visibly dirty and required cleaning. Ensure walls are kept clean and maintained in sanitary condition.

- Pink Washroom: The wall of the pink washroom had a panel of unfinished drywall on it due to recent renovations. Ensure that this wall is finished in such a way that renders it smooth, durable, and easy to clean.

- Pink Washroom: A section of pipe was exposed on wall of the washroom due to recent renovations. Ensure this is adequately covered to render the wall of the washroom is smooth, durable, and easy to clean.

- Baby Room: The paper towel dispenser at the dedicated handwashing sink for the diaper changing station was broken. Paper towel was being improperly stored in the room. Ensure all handwashing sinks keep paper towels properly stored in suitable dispensers.

- Baby Room: The handwashing sink drained very slowly leading to an accumulation of water in the basin during handwashing. The director stated they had discussed this with the owner already and they were planning on fixing it. Ensure all plumbing fixtures are operating properly and kept in operational condition.

- OSC Room: Several sanitary wipes were expired in the first aid kit and needed to be replaced.

- Toddler Room: The ambient temperature in the room was measured at approximately 18.6C. This room is closest to the unheated rear entrance in the program. Ensure this room is able to be maintained at the minimum temperature of 20C.

- Baby Room: Pool noodles being used as safety bumpers on the diaper changing station were in disrepair and needed replacement as they could no longer be easily cleaned. The operator was instructed to remove these from the station.

- OSC Room: A hinge on the toy fridge door for the kitchen play structure was broken and the door was loosely attached to the play equipment. Ensure this play structure is repaired or removed from the program.

- Toddler Room: A heavy bookshelf in the rear corner of the toddler room was unstable and could be wobbled back and forth. This posed risk to the children in the playing in this room. Ensure this bookshelf is secured to prevent the risk of falling over or is removed from the program.

- Baby Room: One of the crib mattresses in the baby room had more than a 1.2-inch gap between the frame and the mattress. The director was instructed to remove this crib until a suitable mattress could be found.

- Preschool Room: The children's coats were not being stored in such a way to maintain a separation between their personal items. Ensure a guard or space is used to maintain a separation between personal items.

- The back entrance door has a visible gap between the ground and the bottom of the door. Ensure weather stripping is intact and provides a seal from the outside environment to prevent pest entry.

- Blue Washroom: The cupboard below the sinks in the blue washroom were visibly dirty and required cleaning.
