    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: A cup of ice wate use for making cold drink is located next to handwashing sink and prone to being splash on by water from the sink. Dirty handwashing water may contaminate the ice water used for mixing drinks.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to replace the cup of ice water and move it somewhere that is less prone to contamination.
    • 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
      • Observation: Six to ten flies can be observed flying around the menu monitors from the ordering area near the entrance. Pests may cross-contaminate foods items and surfaces increasing risk of illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to remove the flies. The use of a professional pest control operator is recommended. Long term solution, such as a fly trap should be installed near the area to prevent flies from gathering.
    • 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
      • Observation: Gap can be observed at the back door that may allow entry of pest.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to seal gaped at the back door.
    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Two large pool of coffee is on the floor at the food prep area near the drive through at a high traffic area. Employee my walk onto coffe and contaminate the rest of the kitchen floor.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to increase cleaning frequency to ensure large splashes do not stay in busy area.
    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Condenser inside freezer is damaged and not working properly. Condensation can be observe on the ceiling of the freezer and dripping down.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to ensure all food items are protected from condensation by ensure they are in their packaging or inside boxes. Repair the freezer condenser unit.

    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Cutlery trays had accumulation of dust and food particles in them. Clean and sanitary cutlery was placed touching the dust and food particles which could lead to contamination of the cutlery.
      • Corrective Action: Operator moved the trays and cutlery into dishwashing sink. Operator to ensure the trays are cleaned and sanitized atleast once daily. Operator to update the sanitation plan and ensure employees are educated about the same.

      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Open cardboard boxes containing beef patties were placed under a condensing unit in walk-in freezer unit. There were signs of water dripping on the cardboard box from the condenser unit.
      • Corrective Action: The water dripping from the condenser unit can cross contaminate the food. Operator was told to move the food to other location in the walk-in freezer and to keep the food covered at all times to protect it from contamination.
