      • 8/28. There were a couple of used nail buffers observed in one of the pedicure carts. These were discarded at the time of the inspection.

      • 8/28. The PreEmpt CS20 high level disinfectant is being re-used and tested with strips for 30 days. The manufacturer's instructions state that the solution can only be re-used for a maximum of 14 days. Staff was instructed to make a note on the 30-day log at the 14-day mark to ensure that the solution is not being used past the 14-day reuse period.

      • 8/28. Tools are disinfected with PreEmpt CS20. Right before use, the tools are placed in alcohol solution in a container located at station. Several of the containers are labelled as "sanitizer". Relabel these to alcohol. Ensure label is changed to alcohol to avoid confusion since alcohol is not classified as a disinfectant/sanitizer.
