      • There was no antiseptic product available for use on the skin prior to microdermabrasion services.Obtain and use an antiseptic with a DIN or NPN for skin preparation before performing microdermabrasion services.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • A mason jar was used to store preempt CS20 solution used for reprocessing semi-critical tools. The jar does not allow full immersion of tools as instructed by the manufacture's instructions for use. Obtain a container with a larger surface area that allow for full immersion of tools being disinfected.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • A bottle of aloe vera moisturizing gel was observed at the hair-cutting station. The ingredient list was not provided in either English or French.Remove the product from use and obtain a cosmetic product with complete ingredient labeling in English and/or French.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • A mason jar containing preempt CS20 for reprocessing Semi critical tools was observed on the hair cutting station in close proximity to client access, making it prone to contamination after reprocessing.Reprocess all tools in the designated reprocessing sink located in the room.
