    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • - 1. Whitehorn Room: Shelf measuring greater than 4 ft high, to the left of the door, was not secured in place. ** Please secure the shelf to the wall to prevent the shelf from tipping over and injuring kids, or, remove the shelf. 2. Exploration Station Room: An electrical outlet was found with the child safety plug missing, leaving the outlet accessible.**Ensure all outlets are fitted with appropriate child safety plug covers. 3. Exploration Station Room: The mirror in the room does not appear to be child safe or shatter proof. ** Please remove the mirror if it is not child safe/ shatter proof or install a shatterproof film over the mirror. 4. Playdough is being made at the site for child play using regular household flour. ** Do not use regular household flour to make playdough. If playdough is made at the site, heat treated flour or cornstarch may be used. ** Alternatively use commercially purchased playdough. 5. Whitehorn Room: The G&T Glue did not have the AP or ASTM 4236 label on the product. ** Please ensure all craft items (glues, paints, dabbers etc) are child safe, non toxic, and have either the AP or ASTM 4236 on the label. **This was corrected during the inspection - glue was disposed of. -
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • - The first aid kit was missing the CPR barrier mask. ** Ensure the first aid kit is properly stocked at all times. **This was corrected during the inspection. The CPR barrier mask was located in the storage room and relocated to the first aid kit ** -
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - Storage Room: There was accumulation of dust/ debris on the floor in the storage room and it was very cluttered/ unorganized. ** Properly clean and declutter the storage room. -

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Facility using EP 50 disinfectant with no Norovirus claim to clean/disinfect diapering mat and surfaces.-Advised operator to provide and use 100ppm of bleach solution (by mixing half to one teaspoon of bleach in one litre of water).-Also, to provide suitable test strip to monitor disinfectant concentration.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
