    • 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
      • Observation: Mouse droppings observed around all of the traps identified in the pest control report as having activity as well as behind pet food on the lower two shelves backing the exterior wall and extensively in the garden area (currently used for storage of shelving and other non-food related items). Observed significant droppings in the garden area as well as debris, potting soil, etc under shelves which also backs onto the pet food area in one section.
      • Corrective Action(s): Thoroughly clean all of the garden area (including under all shelving backing onto main building and in any open bin/containers where more droppings are found) and work with pest control company to seal up all possible entry points identified.

      • 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
      • Observation: Copy of most recent pest control report on file obtained (Jan 6, 2020). Inspected all traps identified in last pest control report to have had activity (with exception of store entry) and identified potential areas where rodents could enter at all inspected sites. Area of most concern is the large sliding door leading to the garden area which is currently closed off and is used for storage. Large gaps observed between the two main doors at floor level as well as between the two sliding panels of the left door also at floor level. In the garden area there were multiple gaps between the foundation and the concrete floor, some gaps were sprayed with spray foam but many more gaps were still open. One gap previously filled with spray foam and steel wool had the steel wool pulled of the gap and a hole in the spray foam was present.
      • Corrective Action(s): Work with pest control company to seal up all potential areas for pest entry in particular the ones noted above
