      • 1. Clovers, Sunshine 1, Sunshine 2, Blossoms, Blossoms 2: 1. Toddler room: The safety belt on the diapering mat is not anchored to the change table surface. The alternative restraint available to prevent a child from falling is not suitable, as it is the same height as the mat. Please securely anchor an appropriate safety belt to the change table.

      • Sunshine 1: A paper towel holder was not available at the hand sink. Please ensure a paper towel dispenser is available and stocked. Violation corrected on-site.

      • 1. Willows: The sensory table is wobbly, and the cover is in disrepair. Please repair or replace as needed.2. Clovers: The floor corners near the hand sink in the washroom were dirty. Please clean thoroughly.3. Acorns: The floor corners near the hand sink in the washroom were dirty. Please clean thoroughly.4. Sunshine 2: The area underneath the diapering mat was dirty.     • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The grey rug along the window in the clovers room is fraying/ripped on one end.2. There are various foam tiles in the blossoms and acorns room that are heavily stained or dented/damaged.1. and 2. Please replace the rug and affected foam tiles.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The diapering table in the clovers, blossoms, and sprouts room have a build up of sand and debris underneath the diapering mat.Please ensure these areas are cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • The temperature of the water at the faucet in the upstairs washroom (daycare side, further back washroom) was measured at 60 degrees celsius.Please ensure the water temperature at the faucets do not exceed 54 degrees celsius. Adjust accordingly to prevent scalding.

      • The wooden gate at the Ferns room is starting to bow out at the bottom and is not flushed with the rest of the gate causing a pinch point. Please ensure the wooden gate is secured or straightened out to prevent any pinch hazards.

      • Bleach bottles and toilet bowl cleaners were stored in below counter cupboards without locks. Chemicals were kept together next to toys used by kids.- Ensure chemicals are stored separately from kids toys and inaccessible to kids.- Chemicals were removed onsite and taken away for proper storage. All items that were in contact with the chemicals were taken away as well.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • CPR barrier device was missing in the upstairs preschool emergency first aid bag.- Ensure first aid check list is reviewed for all kits and fully stocked up.- Barrier device was replaced during the inspection.

      • The water temperature measured at the hand wash sinks in the washrooms upstairs and on the main floor was measured at 55 degrees celsius.Please ensure all water temperatures that are accessible to children at the faucets are a maximum of 54 degrees celsius (recommended 49 degrees celsius).
