      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Ice scoop and beverage dispensing hose observed being stored in direct contact with ice used for mixing beverages
      • Corrective Action(s): Ice used for beverages must be treated as a food item and protected against contamination.
      • -Ensure ice scoops are always stored in the designated storage container to prevent contact between the handle (contact point with hands) and the ice.
      • -In addition, ensure the beverage dispenser hose is stored in a manner that prevents contact with ice.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): #1- Observed ice scoops sitting on countertops and on ice bin machine surface. These are unsanitary surfaces that may cause cross-contamination to ice.
      • #2- Mould seen inside ice bin near drive-thru. Mould grows in moist environment and can contaminate ice if it is not removed.

      • #1- Wash and sanitize the ice scoops immediately. Ensure that ice scoops are kept in a designated container at all times when not in use.
      • #2- Empty the ice bin and clean and sanitize all surfaces to remove mould.

      • Observation: Drive-thru sliding doors remained open for an extended period. The air curtain above it was not turned on. There was also a large gap under the door such that pests (e.g. mice) could enter the premises and contaminate food products subsequently.

      • Correction: Install a new door sweep underneath door and replace the strip between the two doors. Do not keep the doors open unless in-use. Turn air curtain on.

      • Observation: Cooler unit underneath counter in kitchen area was not working (temp >14C). Operator said maintenance came that morning and return to fix the unit.

      • Correction: Foods inside the cooler were voluntarily thrown out by the operator. Cooler must not be used until it is fixed.
