- The operator had not notified the regional health authority about the Personal Services business by submitting the Personal Services Notification.The PSN was submitted during the inspection, as directed by PHI.This violation was corrected during the inspection.
- 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
- The written procedures specific for the facility were discussed with the operator, based on the services provided following procedures were required,1)Client care in case of accidental skin cuts and punctures2)Skin cleansing procedures3)Decontamination of dual purpose sink.Templates for written procedures were provided during the inspection.
- 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
- It was observed that cosmetic product used on client skin had some hair and dirt.Discussed with the operator the handling of cosmetic products to avoid cross-contamination.Recommended using the single use wood sticks for dispensing cosmetic products.This violation was corrected during the inspection.
