    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Grease from recent service was observed inside the nozzles of slush machine, ( Public health significance) - Food contact surfaces should be clean from all forms of contamination grease could cross contaminate the drinks and cause illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator turned off the slush machine untill the grease will be cleaned from nozzles, followed by washed, rinse and sanitization of nozzles. Operator to make sure that only food grade grease is being used for food contact surfaces.

    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Syrup can be seen pooling on the ground near the syrup storage area. Syrup may attract pests that can carry foodborne pathogens.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to clean up pooling syrup.
    • 309 - Chemicals, cleansers, & similar agents stored or labeled improperly [s. 27]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Chemicals are being stored with food products at the back. Spillage of chemicals may contaminate food products resulting in foodborne illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator moved chemicals to a separate shelf.

    • 302 - Critical Repeat Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation: QUAT sanitizer spray bottle solution inside of kitchen was measured at 100 ppm during inspection. 200 ppm is required to achieve effective disinfection of food contact surfaces and limit potential spread of foodborne illness-causing organisms.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure that sanitizer is replaced on a regular basis or use test strips to confirm that QUAT sanitizer is maintained at an effective concentration (200 ppm).

    • 309 - Chemicals, cleansers, & similar agents stored or labeled improperly [s. 27]
      • Observation: Spray bottle in dishwashing area containing degreaser had no label, which can lead to misuse.
      • Corrective Action: Label the bottle and ensure all chemicals are labeled correctly.
