- 1. Container of pistachio powder in dry storage are had measuring cup submerged in mix. Storing measuring cups with no handle in dry ingredients can result in cross contamination as the cup itself is a high touch surface. Pathogens that survive in the mix can cause foodborne illness.
- 2. Undercounter storage in front-end had container of pistachio powder with no lid and a plastic cup submerged. No lid on food containers can increase the risk of physical contaminants, from the environment, falling into the mix. Plastic cups are also not intended for repeated use, as it can break and cause physical contamination.
- Corrective Actions: Please ensure that food is protected from contamination with lid coverings, and measuring cups are food-grade and stored in a manner that prevents contamination.

- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observation: Bottle of liquid hand soap stored beside dry ingredients. Storing chemicals (i.e., soup) next to food products could cause chemical contamination, which can't be removed through cooking or other processes.

- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observation; Seaplast machine observed on premises not previously approved by district EHO for use. Inside of the machine had stagnant salt water. Using unapproved equipment could lead to the improper handling/processing of food, which can increase contamination risks and potentially lead to foodborne illness. Stagnant water can also attract pests, increasing contamination risks.
- Corrective Actions: Operator poured out all salt water from the machine and was advised to not use until they submit an updated Food Safety Plan.
