      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer container and sanitize basin in the 3-compartment sink were detected with 10 PPM chlorine residual.
      • Corrective Action(s): Sanitizer was refilled. 100 PPM chlorine residual was detected in the container and sink baskin.

      • Corrective Action(s): The operator's wife (also present during last year routine inspection) must complete FOODSAFE level 1 or equivalent within 1 week. During the follow-up inspection (in 2 weeks), operator must present the work schedule and provide evidence that at least one person on shift, in the absence of the operator, must be certified as well.
      • Since this is a repeated violation, if the above corrective action cannot be completed within the specified time, increase enforcement actions will be taken.

      • 2. Move the box of single-use cups and paper towels to a different location. These items cannot be stored in the staff washroom. Avoid storing food, food contact items and paper towels in a location other than the washroom to avoid potential contamination of these products when the toilet is flushed.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A milk bottle stored in Hisense over counter cooler was at 6.8C. The operator said it was put in at opening time 11am.
      • Correction: remove the bottle of milk in another cooler that can keep it at 4C. The bottle was moved to the ice cream display cooler.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer bucket and sanitizer sink in 3-compartment sink was measured at 50ppm chlorine.
      • Correction: add more bleach to ensure 100-200ppm chlorine residual is maintained. Operator re-made the solution that measured at 100ppm chlorine.

      • Correction: Clean and sanitize the ice machine including the water tray. Discard the current batch of ice and the first batch of ice after sanitizing. Refer to your sanitation plan.

      • Correction: Cover the food that is kept in freezers to prevent cross-contamination through debris or under shelves that can fall in. Operator covered the cakes at time of inspection.
