107 - 15161 56th Ave, Surrey · Restaurant

Inspection summary

Booster Juice (No 10 Hwy) has been inspected 24 times by Fraser Health Authority since December 11, 2012. The most recent inspection, on October 6, 2026, found no infractions.

11 of 24 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 5 inspections with 7 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing and Food temperature control.

The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded 17 times across 13 separate inspections, most recently on April 23, 2026. For example: 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

    Recorded 5 times across 5 separate inspections, most recently on April 14, 2026. For example: 205 - Cold potentially hazardous food stored/displayed above 4 °C. [s. 14(2)]

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded once on August 10, 2021. For example: 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]

    2 infractions

    • 302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Food-contact surface sanitizer in sanitizer pail measured less than 50 ppm Quats. Pail was stored in the hand washing sink (and space was still available for hand washing).
      • Corrective Action(s): Staff changed the solution in the pail at time of inspection. 200 ppm Quats detected. Do not store the sanitizer pail in the hand washing sink, as water from hand washing dilutes the strength of the sanitizer solution.

    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Display cooler storing wraps, paninis, and protein balls had an ambient temperature of 8-9C.
      • Corrective Action(s): Staff to monitor cooler and ensure it is capable of maintaining temperatures at 4C or colder. Adjust/repair this cooler if the temperature does not decrease to 4C or colder within 30 minutes. Do not keep potentially hazardous food items in this cooler if the temperature does not reach 4C within the next 30 minutes. Internal food temperatures at time of inspection were still at about 4C.

  14. Routine Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A small hose was yet again connecting the dipper-well faucet to the well/sink without an air-gap present.
      • Corrective Action(s): As previously discussed, there must be an air-gap present between any faucet and sink/well to prevent potential accidental backflow of contaminated water to the water supply system. Hose was detached from the dipper-well faucet at time of inspection. Do not use this hose attacment. REPEAT VIOLATION. Future non-compliance may result in further enforcement action(s) being taken, such as the issuance of Orders and violation tickets.
      • Correct by: Immeidately and on-going.

    • 302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Quats sanitizer pail near hand washing sink was tested to be below 50 ppm.
      • Corrective Action(s): Repeat violation. Ensure sanitizer pails are changed every 2 hours, and keep away from sinks such that water from hand or dish-washing does not dilute the sanitizer.
      • Staff changed solution in sanitizer pail at time of inspection.
      • Violation Score: 5
    • 307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A small hose was attached to the dipper-well spout again, with no air-gap provided. Staff stated this was to ensure water from the spout could reach the centre of dipper-well to provide fresh water into the well, as opposed to leaking/dribbling on the outer portion of the dipper-well.
      • Corrective Action(s): Repeat violation. Hose removed at time of inspection. Do not connect this hose to the dipper-well spout, as an inadequate air-gap (or lack of air-gap) could potentially contaminate the water supply system due to backflow. Ensure to turn up the tap for the dipper-well such that adequate water pressure allows the stream from the spout to reach the centre of the dipper-well.
      • Dipper-well tap was turned up at time of inspection, and water stream from the spout was able to reach the centre of the dipper-well.
      • Violation Score: 9
      • 501 - Operator does not have FOODSAFE Level 1 or Equivalent [s. 10(1)]
      • Observation: The onsite copy of the operator's FoodSafe level 1 certificate had expired at the end of 2022.
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator to re-take FoodSafe level 1 or equivalent.

      • 401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Hand washing sink was inaccessible/obstructed, as it was being used to store a colander for straining vegetables (bell peppers), a sanitizer pail, used knives and a small cutting board.
      • Corrective Action(s): Staff cleared the hand sink at time of inspection. This sink must only be used for hand washing, and must be accessible and unobstructed at all times.
      • Violation Score: 5
    • 307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A small hose was attached to the dipper well faucet, creating a connection between the faucet and the water in the dipper well. This can cause potential backflow of contaminated water from the dipper well/drain pipe into the faucet and potable water system.
      • Corrective Action(s): Hose was detached at time of inspection. An air-gap must always be present between a sink/dipper well faucet and the sink.
