    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Observed cooking oil spill accumulation underneath the deep fryer. This may create unsanitary conditions that may attract pests which may potentially lead to contamination of food and food contact surfaces.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure to remove the cooking oil accumulation underneath the deep fryer, clean and sanitize
    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Kitchen canopy/hood filters has accumulation of grease deposits. A dirty kitchen hood may be a pest attractant and may lead to dripping of grease to food while cooking which may lead to contamination of food. Additionally, grease deposits on the exhaust hood may increase the potential of fire which may be a health hazard.
      • Corrective Action: A commercial food establishment operator must ensure that a kitchen canopy is maintained in clean and sanitary condition. Ensure to clean the kitchen canopy/exhaust hood to free it from grease deposits.

    • 311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
      • Observation: Observed molding/trim missing for section of back dry storage area resulting in gaps between the floor and wall. Unsealed gaps along the floor may result in food getting trapped and acting as a potential pest attractant.
      • Corrective Action: Seal any gaps along the floor.
