3 of 4 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 2 inspections with 3 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Food temperature control.

Recent inspections have recorded more infractions than earlier ones, so it is worth reading the latest reports closely.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded 2 times on August 5, 2026. For example: 203 - Critical Food not cooled in an acceptable manner [s. 12(a)]

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded once on August 5, 2026. For example: 104 - Permit not posted in a conspicuous location [s. 8(7)]

About this data

These results come from Northern Health Authority, which inspects food premises and other public facilities in this area. We republish the authority's public disclosure data and refresh it regularly; the official record is the final word.

4 inspections

  1. Routine Inspection

    3 infractions

    • 104 - Permit not posted in a conspicuous location [s. 8(7)]
      • Observation: The Operating Permit was observed to be posted in the kitchen and was not readily visible to the public. Public Health Significance- The Operating Permit should be displayed in a location that is clearly visible to the public. Public display promotes transparency and allows patrons to verify that the establishment is operating with a valid permit.
      • Corrective Action: The operator was instructed to post the Operating Permit in a prominent location that is readily visible to the public
    • 203 - Critical Food not cooled in an acceptable manner [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Prepared eggs and bacon were observed cooling at room temperature. Public Health Significance- Eggs and cooked meat products are potentially hazardous foods that require temperature control to limit bacterial growth. Improper cooling or prolonged holding at room temperature increases the risk of food contamination and foodborne illness.
      • Corrective Action: The operator was instructed to immediately move the eggs and bacon to the refrigerator and maintain the foods at 4°C (40°F) or below.
    • 315 - Refrigeration units and hot holding equipment lack accurate thermometers [s. 19(2)]
      • Observation: Internal thermometers were not installed in the refrigerator and chest freezer. Public Health Significance- Without internal thermometers, operators cannot accurately monitor and verify that cold-holding units are consistently maintaining safe temperatures. Failure to maintain proper refrigeration and freezer temperatures may result in food being stored in the temperature danger zone, increasing the risk of bacterial growth and potentially leading to foodborne illness.
      • Corrective Action: The operator was informed to install internal thermometers in both the refrigerator and chest freezer to enable ongoing temperature monitoring.
