    • 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
      • The flow rate of the circulation and jet pumps combined exceeds 150gpm, which is the maximum allowable flow rate for the submerged suction outlets. Other options to eliminate risk is to have a secured control system which could include any of the following: a permanently installed flow restrictor plate, locks on valve adjustment handle for the jet pump (once flow restricted to acceptable flow rate), removal of valve adjustment handle on jet pump (once flow restricted to acceptable flow rate), lockout tag that must be cut to change valve position (once flow restricted to acceptable flow rate), variable speed drive pump with control system that is protected by a password and/or variable frequency drive with control system that is protected by a password.
    • 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
