- There was no written procedure for what is done is the case of an accidental cut/puncture to client.The procedure for applying antiseptic to client before services intended to puncture the skin needs more detail (does not list what is specifically being used as antiseptic and that is has a DIN or NPN). Please create/update written procedures.
- 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
- The hand sanitizer in one of the rooms (by sink) was expired. Please replace with an acceptable hand sanitizer that is not expired.
- 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
- Sterile sodium chloride solution that contains preservatives is being used for as reconstitution diluent for neuromodulator. Manufacturer's directions for use indicate a sterile, preservative- free 0.9% sodium chlorine injection solution be used. The sodium chloride solution had also just expired. Obtain a sterile, preservative- free 0.9% sodium chlorine injection solution for use that is not expired.

- Some of the alcohol swabs and individually-packaged Cavicide wipes (in storage cupboards) were expired. These were removed at time of inspection for disposal.
