    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Please add a lock to the chemical cabinet in the kitchen.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • - The sprayer for the bleach solution in the diapering area of the yellow room was not working. Spray bottle was switched out with an available extra. - The bleach solution in the diapering area of yellow 2 measured at 0 ppm. The bleach in the main room of yellow 2 measured at 50 ppm. Bleach solution was remade. Please label spray bottle with the correct measurements, and test with test strips each time a new solution is made to ensure the correct concentration of 100 ppm is reached.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • The floors and shelves in many of the rooms, and the cubbies in the hallway, had residual glue from previous tape on them, which had accumulated dirt and debris and was no longer easily cleanable. Please remove glue and old tape.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - the rugs in the orange room, blue room, and red room had accumulated dirt. Please steam clean.- the small table made out of an old spool/wheel in the orange room had worn/peeling tape around the outside. Please remove and replace the tape so it can be easily cleaned.- the leather couches in the blue room were dirty and in disrepair. Please cover any rips and clean.- high touch areas like doors, door handles, light switches and walls had dirt, food, and paint on them. Please clean and sanitize these areas and add to regular cleaning checklist to ensure they are not missed.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • - the dollhouses in the orange room and blue room were dirty. Please ensure if toys are taken outside to play that they are cleaned once brought back in- some of the stuffed animals in the orange room appeared dirty, as did the pillows in the tent. Please wash in hot water in the laundry- several rooms, including the orange room, yellow 2 and red 2, had books that were worn, ripped, or falling apart. Please go through the books and discard those that are no longer in good condition and can no longer be adequately cleaned and sanitized
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • The hot water pressure of the left sink in the washroom in orange 2 was too low. Please increase water pressure for adequate handwashing.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • - The staff washroom next to the laundry had an accumulation of dust and dirt, especially on the pipe coverings under the handsink. Please clean and sanitize washroom more frequently.- The toilet paper in the staff washroom was not in the dispense. Please utilize the dispenser as it prevents contamination of the bulk supply.

      • Green Room 2 - the light switch in the right washroom was broken. Repair required.

      • Young toddler room (yellow) - The water temperature at the hand sink was noted to be too low. Measured at 14C, 24CPreschool (orange) - The water temperature at the hand sink was noted to be too low. Measured at 17COlder toddler (Blue) - The water temperature at the hand sink was noted to be too low. Measured at 16-17CBarrier free washroom (staff) - the faucet at the hand sink was loose.
