      • 1. One of the toy cabinets in room 3 is in disrepair with sections of raw wood exposed.Please refinish or replace the toy cabinet.2. The Paw Patrol bean bag located in the infant room had some tears along the seams.The damaged bean bag was removed from use during the inspection.

      • Room 3: The chlorine sanitizer bottle was unlabeled.Please have labels for all chemicals to ensure all staff know the contents inside.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • The janitor's closet where chemicals are being stored is not locked. Staff were unable to find the key to lock the door.Please ensure rooms where chemicals are stored are locked at all times.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • The antiseptic wipes inside the first aid kit are expired (exp: 2023).Please go through all of the first aid kits and make sure all kits are updated.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Some staff have reported that they use the same sink basin for washing their hands and cleaning the toys. There must be at least one easily accessible sink for washing toys. It cannot be the same sink used for handwashing, and it cannot be a washroom sink as outlined in the Health and Safety Guide for Operators of Child Care Facilities.Please either:1) Use the sink as a designated toy washing sink.OR2) Use the sink as designated handwashing station but all toys are washed in the kitchen.
