    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Trex Room 19-36 months * Plastic storage container was stacked on the top of each other; they were not properly secured. Please ensure proper shelving units are in place and secured if they are taller than 3ft.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • *Some of the flooring in the Trex toddler room was not in good repair.*Windowsills -paint chipping (Trex toddler room)Please make sure repairs and cleaning are completed.

      • * Backsplash on the wall by the hand sink in the infant room was not in good repair.*Trex -room 19-36 months - Corner and surface of the diaper changing table paint was chipping off. Please repaint / repair. -Play mat by the window was not in good repair. *Trex -2 -Blue play table surface paint was chipped off.Please ensure repairs and replacements are completed.

      • * Hot water temperature in the Great White Shark room was measured at 52.6 C.Recommended maximum at 49C.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • *The ventilation in the infant room was inadequate. The room appeared poorly ventilated, which may contribute to reduced indoor air quality. Strong odor was noticed.Ensure the infant room is adequately ventilated. Review and maintain the ventilation system as needed to promote acceptable indoor air quality.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • There were multiple chemical bottles at the shelf, no bleach sanitizer in the Triceratops Room. Staff in that room was not aware of what kind of cleaner or chemicals in the bottles.Please make sure staff do have knowledge of chemical and what purposes they are used for to prevent misuse of chemical and prevent any incidents.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • CPR shield was missing in some of the first aid kits in the couple of the backpacks.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • *Some of the wall covers in the infant room were separating.*Some of the flooring in the Trex toddler room was not in good repair.*Flooring piece /tile was missing by the exit door to playground in the T-rex toddler room.*Windowsills -pain chipping (Trex toddler room)*Grey table in the Great White Shark room was missing protective corners and paint chipping. *Carpet lifting by the exit door in the common area to playground. *Some of the toy containers in the rooms had debris and dust. Please make sure repairs and cleaning are completed.

      • Dedicated hand sink for diaper changing area in the infant room was used washing water and milk bottles. Discussed that with the stuff and program director to make sure milk and water bottles washing and sanitizing is done properly in the kitchen. Hand sink in the infant room by the diaper changing area is used for handwashing purposes only.
