      • Observation(s): • Logs not onsite at the time of inspection. Please provide copies - Operator supplied.

      • Observation(s): • Personal medication was not adequately stored away from food storage area. This can led to possible cross contamination risk. Operator was instructed to immediately move to another location way from the food service and prep areas. Corrected During inspection (CDI): the operator had immediately moved away and storage items in container away from food area.
      • F2.6I Food premises operations must be separated from incompatible areas and activities.

      • Observation(s): 1) Raw wood surfaces noted in 1x stand up freezer. Wood surface to be refinished in smooth, easy to clean, light coloured finish that is moisture/water resistant.

    • 5 - Has the operator taken steps to ensure employees are using adequate hygiene measures to prevent contamination of food?
      • Observation(s): Staff with long hair must ensure that hair is kept suitably confined to ensure that food is not contaminated with stray hairs. Discussed with owner/operator during inspection. Operator provided staff member with hairnet at time of inspection. RESOLVED.
      • 5.4 - Employees involved in food preparation must ensure food is not contaminated by hair.
    • 9 - Are foods handled in a sanitary manner and protected from contamination?
      • Observation(s): Cooler shelving has rusted/chipping. Replace shelving to ensure that rust flakes do not contaminate food items (as soup is cooled without a lid for a short time in this cooler). Owner/operator changed out the shelves during the inspection. RESOLVED
      • 9.2 - Ready to eat foods must be stored in a manner that prevents cross contamination.
    • 14 - Are the premises, equipment and utensils designed and maintained to ensure safe and sanitary food handling?
      • Observation(s): Food debris in hard to reach areas. Have staff perform a thorough cleaning of the hard to reach areas (under equipment in baking area, under the sink area, dry good storage near back door, etc.) Ensure staff move items to clean thoroughly before putting back in place. EHO will follow up on November 3, 2015.
