      • Staff were observed washing their hands while wearing gloves.Gloves are single-use items and must be removed and discarded after each use. Hand hygiene must be performed on bare hands only. After hands have been properly washed and dried, a new pair of gloves may be donned if required. Gloves must not be washed, sanitized, or reused.

      • Reprocessed tools were stored in unclean storage containers with an accumulation of dirt and debris.Cleaned and disinfected tools must be stored in clean, sanitary containers to prevent recontamination. Ensure storage containers are routinely cleaned and disinfected and maintained in a clean condition at all times. Any containers found to be soiled must be cleaned and disinfected before being used to store reprocessed tools.

      • Reusable metal Dremel bits were being disinfected using alcohol.Alcohol is not an approved disinfectant for reprocessing non-critical equipment. Ensure all reusable non-critical equipment is cleaned and disinfected using an approved low-level disinfectant

      • Paper towel roll was provided without a holder in the waxing room.- Provide a holder or dispenser for the paper towel to avoid wet contamination.

      • The wax in the wax heat pot in the waxing room was found storing without lids.- Ensure the products are protected from contamination by enclosing the container when not in use.
