    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Food debris built up on the conveyor belt of the conveyor toaster for reheating donut. (Public Health Significance) - food debris can harbor bacteria and pathogens and contaminate food. Repeated toasting may cause food debris to burn, increasing the risk of chemical or physical contamination
      • Corrective Action: Operator cleaned the conveyor toaster.
    • 302 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation: Counter tops are cleaned and sanitized with non-food grade disinfectant. The disinfectant concentration was not adequate. (Public Health Significance) - non-food grade disinfectant can chemically contaminate foods. Disinfectant in inadequate concentration cannot reduce pathogens in the environment, increasing the risk of food contamination.
      • Corrective Action: Operator agreed to change to bleach for disinfection. Operator to ensure the disinfectant is of food grade and at adequate concentration at all times.
