      • A stool‑like stain was observed on the diapering mat in the infant room.-Please ensure diapering mats are cleaned and sanitized after each diapering procedure and that they are visually inspected every time before use.-This infraction was corrected during the inspection, and the diapering procedure was reviewed with a staff member at the time.

      • Extraneous materials were observed kept on diapering surfaces.-Please remove or relocate all materials kept on the diapering tables to prevent potential contamination and enhance regular cleaning and sanitizing practices.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Low water pressure and a hot water temperature of 31.5°C were observed in the second washroom located in the junior/infant room. Required Action:Please adjust the water pressure to ensure adequate flow and water quality. Additionally, increase and maintain the hot water temperature between 38°C and 43°C to support proper handwashing procedures.

    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • A roll of paper towel was sitting on the paper towel dispenser in the east diapering room in the senior infant room.- Ensure all paper towel is being dispensed from its dispenser. Paper towel was added to the dispenser during the inspection.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • The first aid kits onsite were equipped with expired antiseptic wipes. - A bulk package of antiseptic wipes with an expiry for 2025 was found in a storage room. Ensure all first aid kits are equipped with antiseptic wipes that are not expired. Ensure that first aid kits are checked regularly to ensure contents are stocked and not expired.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Foam mattresses were being used in the junior infant room during nap time with fabric covers that were not impervious to moisture. - Ensure mattress covers or mattresses/cots are used that are impervious to moisture and easily cleanable.
