    We had an awesome time here and the campground was so clean. The staff were great! I was a bit annoyed with people reserving their spot on the beach (chairs on the beach without people there) but I was able to get past that and enjoy it so much. Swimming in this lake is the best ever! We will be back :)

    We have been coming to Gallagher for 17 years. This year my teen girls were at the lake and someone played a “prank” on them and threw their belongings including a new iPhone into one of the garbage cans on the beach. By the time they noticed their stuff was gone ( the groundskeepers are very diligent about emptying the garbages around the whole campsite) the garbages had already been emptied to a dumpster. The front desk girls were amazing about radioing the guys on the lower campground to help join in the search.. Using find my app we were able to figure out the phone was in a dumpster. BRADFORD was so helpful in picking out garbage bags from the dumpster until they found the one that was pinging and then went on to tear open the garbage bags to retrieve all their stuff. He went above and beyond to help the girls out and ensure the rest of their vacation was not ruined. I realize that is in no way part of his job description but we sincerely appreciate his kindness! As always Gallagher is always a clean and beautiful place to stay. We appreciate the staff and their kindness!

    We camped in our trailer for Father’s Day weekend and we have camped and enjoyed this beautiful gem of a lake a number of times. It’s a busy place but people are respectful and keep to a full roar or at least shut down noise by 11pm which is great. Hubby is an experienced scuba diver and was enjoying a nice leisurely dive while I was paddle boarding and staying cool, while our Aussiedoodle stayed in the AC in the trailer as dogs are not allowed on the beach.

    Oh. My. Gosh. This was the smallest campsite for the biggest price we’ve ever experienced. Our neighbors’ sewer drainage was literally at our door - and we had no choice as we barely fit in the site with a 17 1/2 ft trailer. Paying over $100 bucks a night? the entire place is jammed like a parking lot and the beach is equally as bad. To call this a get away spot is insane unless maybe you’re from New York? The only plus is the location…close to wine village which is good, because you’re going to need a drink to stay here.

    We were able to reserve our RVs the same day luckily. The spaces are large, there's a great restaurant across the street. It was really nice to have our own private beach to go swimming in. This a family friendly place, highly recommended. The staff is great!
