    • 03. Is all food in this facility fit for human consumption and not unwholesome, spoiled, or adulterated?
      • Two cartons of whipping cream were observed in the cooler four months past the labelled best before date. Informed operator who discarded the product.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • The interior measured temperature of the hot holding pizza unit using a probe thermometer was approximately 20C. Please ensure the hot holding unit is properly working and can maintain a temperature of at least 60C. Requested operator track the time of the individual sliced pizza and discard after two hours if unit is not properly maintaining temperature.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • The water in the handwashing sink was very slow to drain. Please ensure corrective actions are taken and water is draining properly.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • No records of pest control monitoring were observed onsite. Please ensure records are available onsite for review.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The posted food handling permit was expired. Please ensure a new valid food handling permit is posted onsite.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The regular scheduled cleaning for the exhaust hood was overdue. Please ensure exhaust hood is cleaned and serviced as per the regular routine schedule.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Additional cleaning is requirement throughout the kitchen as numerous equipment and surfaces had food debris or were greasy. Please ensure all equipment and surfaces are properly cleaned.

      • The broiler for the donair cone was observed to be off. Staff instructed to ensure that the broiler is on and continuously cooking the donair cone.

      • Chlorine test strips were not available
