      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Red sanitizer bucket by the hand sink measured 0 ppm. Staff did not know what sanitizer was in it.
      • 2. QUATS sanitizer spray measured less than 100 ppm.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure that QUATS RTU sanitizer spray is not diluted with water. If using QUATS sanitizer must have a concentration of 200-400 ppm. If using chlorine bleach, must have a concentration of 100-200 ppm.
      • Bleach sanitizer spray and bucket were made and measured at 100 ppm.

      • Observation: Staff on site does not have FOODSAFE Level 1

      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure prep cooler is working properly and is able to maintain a temperature of 4C or below. Store all food in a working cooler at 4C or below (back kitchen upright cooler).

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
      • Latex glove with powder was observed in the dishwashing area.
      • Staff said they only use it for cleaning sinks, etc.
      • Corrective Action(s):
      • Remove/ discard latex glove in the premises. Residual from latex glove
      • can cross contaminate food contact surfaces. Replace with non-latex
      • or vinyl gloves

      • 502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
      • Observation:
      • Staff on duty at time of inspection did not have Food Safe Level 1 training/certification.
      • Corrective Action(s):
      • At least one person on staff has Food Safe Level 1 - as stated in previous inspection,
      • staff must register and successfully complete the course. Schedule staff accordingly
      • so that Food Safe 1 certified staff cover all shifts.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Hand stations did not have paper towels in kitchen area. Paper towels in staff washroom are still stored on top of toilet where it is a contaminted surface. This is a repeat infraction.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure all hand washing stations have paper towels and liquid soap. Hand washing paper towels and soap should be free of contamination like toilet surfaces. Correction required immediately.

    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Chemical Draino and latex gloves stored on dishes drying rack. This is a chemical and allergy hazard for staff and customers.
      • 2. Eco+ Lemon deodorizer in use is still not food grade sanitizer. Ensure to use food grade sanitizer such as 200 ppm Chlorine solution (2 mL to 1 L of water as described on wall poster). This is a repeat infraction.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1. Do not use store chemicals in food storage or food equipment areas. Put chemicals in designated chemical storage areas away from food. Operator moved Draino to under stink. Do not use latex gloves in a food premise. They contain allergens.
      • 2. Ensure to use a food grade sanitizer at the right concentration. Education and information provided again. The information is availabe on the wall above the 3 compartment sink.
      • Violation Score: 15
      • 502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
      • Observation: New staff on site is not trained or certified in FoodSafe Level 1.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure in operator's absence, at least one staff on duty has Foodsafe level 1. Correction required in 1 month.

    • 401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Main washroom paper dispenser is broken. There is spare paper towel roll available located on the toilet. Repair is required so there are paper towels available at the hand washing sink. This will prevent paper towels from being stored on top of the toilet or falling into the toilet.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure all hand washing stations have liquid soap, paper towels and running hot and cold water at all times. Correction requried today. Ensure paper towels and liquid soap are free from contamination.
      • Violation Score: 5
    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. The Chlorine sanitizer concentration is above 400 ppm. This is too strong to use as a food grade sanitizer and the bottle lid and cover has melted.
      • 2. The second lemon germicidal cleaner/deodorizer is not a a food grade sanitizer it is indicated on the bottle it is not for food contact surfaces. This solution can only be used for cleaning non food equipment.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure to use the right type of food grade food sanitizer and concentration to prevent chemical contamination of food and chemical accidents with staff. Education and 3 compartment Fraser Health poster reviewed with staff. Ensure daily food grade sanitizers are made at the right concencentration. Correction required today.

      • 502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
      • Observation: Two staff on site do not have FoodSafe Level 1 training. At least one staff member must have Foodsafe Level 1 training while providing service in the operator's absence.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure staff are trained in FoodSafe Level 1. Have one staff be certified in order to work alone. Correction required in 6 weeks.
