      • - Some of the paint (Fantasory Tempura Colors) observed did not have a non-toxicity claim/AP logo present. ** The paints missing the nontoxic claim/ AP logo was removed at the time of inspection. Ensure all paints are labelled with a non-toxicity claim or an AP logo. -
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -A child was observed using hand sanitizer (located in the hallway outside the gym) prior to eating, rather than washing hands with soap and water.** Handwashing with soap and water is required before eating.** Hand sanitizer may be used as a supplement, but not as a substitute for proper handwashing.-
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • - Girls washroom: The flooring around the toilet was damaged and missing sections. ** Repair or replace the floor so the surface is made smooth, non-absorbent to moisture, and easy to clean. -
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • -Storage room: there is an exterior door in this room where the toys, equipment etc for this program is located and the exterior door has gaps to the outside. ** Please repair or replace the weatherstripping to ensure the area remains pest proof and weatherproof. -

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • In the toy storage room, which includes a sink for washing and sanitizing, there was a bottle of bleach on the ground and floor cleaner that was in reach of the children. Do not store any chemicals or cleaning products in a room where children have access. Please move the cleaning products to another room, or do not allow the children to access this room.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • There was no sanitizer prepared during the time of the inspection. The operator attempted to prepare a bleach and water solution, but the solution measured 0 ppm when tested. This indicates that the bleach on site may have been expired, or the contents of the bleach bottle was not bleach. The operator indicated that they had an alternative sanitizer solution that can be used in the meantime which was acceptable. Please obtain a new bottle of bleach for sanitizing and ensure that staff members are using test strips to measure a concentration of 100 ppm.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Toy storage room was unorganized and should be cleaned. Areas including the floors and sink had a buildup of dust and debris. Please organize and clean this room.
