      • 1. The maintenance room in Preschool 1 was unlocked.The door was locked during the inspection. Please ensure staff keep the room locked at all times.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Bingo dabbers intended for ages '12+' were noted in the Preschool 4 room and Preschool 1 room.The bingo dabbers were removed during the inspection.2. The childproof lock for one of the cabinets in Preschool 1 was broken.Please replace the childproof lock.

      • 1. There was debris on the entrance door handle for Preschool 3.The door handle was wiped and sanitized during the inspection. Please ensure there is frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces.2. There was accumulation of laundry detergent and debris on the washing machine and dryer.Please clean and wipe down the machines. Ensure the washer and dryer are in sanitary condition.3. The wooden chairs located in the Toddler 1 room is chipped with raw wood exposed.Please repair or replace the wooden chairs so they are easy to clean.

      • 1. The metal drainage valve for the water table was exposed in the OSC room. Staff have misplaced the cap for the drainage valve.Please ensure the cap is placed over the valve to prevent a finger injury.

      • 1. The fabric circus tent in OSC room was in disrepair and ripped.It was removed during the inspection.

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Bumper guard is taped to the shelving unit in the Nursery 1 room. The tape has accumulated dirt over time. Please do not use tape and obtain self-adhesive stripping to allow cleanable surface.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • The toy bins have dirt in the bottom. One was cracked in the Preschool 3 room. Please ensure bins are also cleaned and disinfected when conducting weekly toy washing. Cracked bin was removed at time of inspection.

      • Kindergarten room- one washroom sink measured 54 deg C for hot water. Mar 05-2024-Right side washroom- hot water tap measured 54.5 deg CRecommendation is to keep below 49 deg C

      • 1. Prepared sanitizer in nursery room- unlabelled. Please ensure chemical bottle is labelled to identify its use/agent2. Kindergarten room- electrical cover missing for 1 outlet (corrected onsite)3. Kindergarten room- water table- drain line end accessible for contact to turn valve (corrected onsite). Ensure drain line opening is covered when not used. 4. Preschool room 3- film cover over glass door is lifting on bottom edges- please ensure this is repaired.5. Preschool rom 3- craft cupboard next to washroom- door did not have safety lock- contained box of borax inside. Ensure locking device is affixed to this cabinet.

      • 1. Expired alcohol wipes seen in all first aid kits (2019). Replace alcohol wipes. 2. Preschool rm 4- first aid kit missing cpr barrier devicePlease make sure all kits in the room are stocked properly.
