What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded once on June 9, 2026. For example: Food Not Protected - General

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded 2 times on June 9, 2026. For example: Improper Construction / Maintenance of Establishment

    • Food Not Protected - General
      • Found an unlabeled sanitizer bottle.
      • Corrected on site, the bottle was labeled with a marker by the operator. Regularly relabel the sanitizer bottles as the marker print fades or use a water proof solution so the bottle does not need to be regularly relabeled after being washed.

      • Observed a large amount of dust and possible mold on the reefer fans, light fixture, and ceiling of the bakery cooler.
      • This is a repeat violation, deep clean and sanitize the bakery cooler by June 12, 2026. Monitor and clean as needed to ensure the cooler is clean and free of dust and mold build up.
    • Improper Construction / Maintenance of Establishment
      • Observed the hand sink being unable to adequately drain the water during hand washing.
      • Unplug the sink by June 16, 2026 as if the drainage continues to slow down the sink may overflow during handwashing. Comments Routine Inspection Conducted Today.
