    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • During the inspection, a drawer refrigerator (near the flat top stove in the front kitchen area) was found to be unplugged and non-functional.The temperature of this appliance was measured to be 22.8 °C. High and low risk foods were noted inside this appliance and were not yet in the temperature danger zone - indicating that this appliance recently was turned off. All foods were removed from this appliance and placed inside a neighboring refrigeration unit. Once identified, the appliance was turned back on and the temperature was verified to be decreasing.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Do not place high risk foods inside this appliance until it is at or below 4C/40F.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • 1. The weatherstripping on the front entrance door was found to be in disrepair (with visible gaps that may allow the entry of pests).1. The owner/operator is requested to repair or replace the weatherstripping.
