      • Observation: Hopia rolls in the front service area do not have labels on them. Unlabeled steam buns and spring rolls are being stored onsite.
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator claims to purchase hopia from Ilocano's (located in Surrey). All products offered for sale must be from an approved source and have proper labels on them. Remove these items from the premises.

      • Observation: Air fryer noted in the back of house (BOH). Operator claims that it's used for making staff lunches. Bulk steam buns and spring rolls noted in the cooler/freezer.
      • Corrective Action(s): Remove the air fryer from the premises. There's no way to know if foods are being cooked in the air fryer for sale to customers. Items not required for the business cannot be stored onsite.

      • Observation: 3-4 trays of eggs noted in the back that have feces on them. These are not from an approved source.
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator claims they're for her personal use and she will be taking them home. You cannot sell eggs from an unapproved source at the store. Remove these from the premises.

      • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: A few boxes of chips noted on the floor.
      • Corrective Action(s): Foods must be stored on the shelves. Do not order large volumes of product when you don't have space to display them.

      • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Countertop display cooler was at 8 degC. It appears to be in defrost mode.
      • Corrective Action(s): Check the temperature of the unit after an hour to ensure that it has dropped to 4 degC or below. If not, move the PHF's into another cooler and get the unit serviced.
