- 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
- At the time of the inspection, multiple clear plastic food containers were noted to be covered to varying degrees with green paper-based tape. The tape had been applied to the outside of the containers as the plastic had significantly cracked in multiple areas. The cracked plastic containers pose a possible physical food contamination risk, and the applied tape to hold the containers together is not a surface that can be adequately cleaned and sanitized.The affected containers were discarded by the operator at the time of the inspection.Glass containers will be used in place of the discarded plastic containers moving forward.
