      • Cleaning checklists (such as daily and weekly cleaning) is required for each childcare room.

      • -Bingo dabbers that indicated “keep out of reach of children” were found in the Turtle Room. These were removed at the time of inspection. Please ensure that only craft supplies that are labelled as non-toxic are used.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • -Chemicals for this social care facility are not being handled or stored in a proper manner. This has been a violation cited in the past. Please ensure chemicals are secured and/or moved out of the reach of children: in the laundry room; in the upstairs staff washroom.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -Diapering was being done on mats on the floor upstairs; mats were stored accessible to children and were visibly unclean. If diapering is to be conducted on the floor mats need to be cleaned and disinfected on both sides; mats need to be stored out of children’s reach when not in use.
    • 07. Is this facility properly constructed (Critical)?
      • - Cubbies used to divide classrooms were not secure. Please ensure that cubbies are secured to prevent them from tipping and causing injury.March 13, 2024-Cubbies were secured to each other with straps but not to the wall or floor. Additional measures are needed.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • -The surface of the ceilings, walls, and/or floors in this social care facility are not acceptable. The hallway ceiling on the second floor was taped up. The operator indicated that there had been a leak due to snow melting. Please ensure that the ceiling is repaired and the verification of roof repairs is provided to EPH.
    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • -Linens used in this social care facility are not being properly cleaned and/or handled. Linens used within a social care facility must be cleaned, disinfected, and mechanically dried between uses. Multiple contaminated cloths were observed on surfaces. If cloths cannot be handled properly, please switch to using paper towel only.
