    • F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
      • Observation(s): • Food debris was found in-between the blades of the veggie slicer (tomato?) stored on the drying rack above the wash sinks. Staff must ensure all equipment and utensils are thoroughly cleaned of food debris.

    3 infractions

    • F1.7 Are foods protected from contamination?
      • Observation(s): • Food handlers were observed multi-tasking while wearing the same pair of gloves for food handling and other tasks. A pair of gloves must only be used for a single task while handling/preparing food. Do not handle ready to eat foods with the same pair of gloves that were used to carry out tasks in other parts of the kitchen. Correct the glove procedures right away. • it was observed that all staff were wearing gloves to carry out all tasks in the kitchen. Please be advised that the practice of wearing gloves while multi-tasking, and not changing the gloves between different types of tasks, can lead to more contamination of objects and surfaces than if not wearing gloves; proper hand washing, or changing of gloves, between tasks is necessary, and proper hand washing between tasks cannot occur if staff are wearing the same gloves for multiple tasks. (gloves become dirty/contaminated just like hands).
      • F1.7C Ready-to-eat foods must be handled/displayed in a manner that prevents cross contamination.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): • The hose connection at the chemical/sanitizer dispenser at the triple sinks in the kitchen is leaking. The leak is preventing the proper sanitizer concentration from being dispensed. Repair by October 23, 2020. • Staff are sometimes having to mix sanitizer by hand. to achieve proper concentration.
      • F2.5A All equipment, utensils and food contact surfaces used on the premises must be kept in good working order to ensure the sanitary handling of food.
    • F2.7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • Observation(s): • The cold water supply at the central hand wash sink by the office door must be repaired. Correct by October 23, 2020.
      • F2.7A Handwashing station must be supplied with hot and cold running water.

    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): Corrected During Inspection. Do not store any items or foods on top of java machine or freeze machine. At the time of inspection boxes were stored on top of the java machine and food debris was found on top of the out-of-service freeze machine; debris can easily enter the reservoirs of both machines. Debris (piece of plastic?) was found inside the reservoir of the freeze machine. Correct right away.
      • F2.5K Storage of equipment, food contact surfaces and utensils must prevent contamination.
