    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • The bathroom sink is used to clean hair tools (i.e. combs etc.). Purchase a low-level disinfectant and complete written procedure for sink decontamination. A low-level disinfectant must have a DIN and "disinfectant" claim.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Hair tools are being disinfected with isopropyl alcohol which is not an appropriate type of disinfectant. A low level disinfectant (i.e. barbicide) is needed. Obtain an inexpensive glass or plastic container (horizontal preferred) for disinfection of hair tools in a barbicide solution. Ensure it has a lid.
